The technology behind the Plugless L2 System has its roots in decades-old inductive power transfer technology, which happened to be the specialty of our parent company, MTC Transformers. Our CEO, Rebecca Hough, worked for her father, Tom, at MTC, before launching Plugless to dedicate herself full time to turning an idea for a better way to charge into what became the Plugless L2 System.
Like you, we saw plug-in charging as a drag on an amazing technology. However, Plugless has always been about more than technology – we want to get more EV drivers on the road. By eliminating cumbersome, inconvenient plug-in charging we hope to eliminate some of the barriers keeping people from switching to EV.
