Last time we talked about the best insurance companies in the US, but what about the rest of the world ? Every one on this planet needs insurance.

I have to be honest, putting this list together was very stressful for me, I mean we are talking about the whole world! In order to do this article justice, I have relayed on a variation of qualified sources such as : http://www.iii.org ( the insurance information institute) and here is my list :

1-AXA

AXA S.A. is French global investment, insurance and retirement group. It provide health, life and other types of insurance, primarily operating in North America, Asia Pacific Western Europe, and Middle East. It serves over 80 million customers worldwide.

2-Berkshire Hathaway

This company ranks at 5^th position in the Forbes global 2000 list for 2015. Berkshire Hathaway, Inc. engages in diverse business activities including casualty and property insurance and reinsurance, freight rail transportation, utilities and energy, finance, manufacturing, retailing and services. Its business activities are conducted through foreign and domestic-based insurance entities.

3-CHINA LIFE INSURANCE

The company operates in following segments: Group Life Insurance Individual Life Insurance and Short-term Insurance. The Individual Life Insurance segment provides lifetime insurance products to individual clients by offering annuities to individuals. . The Short-term Insurance segment offers short-term health insurance and accident insurance to individuals and groups.

4-United Heath Group

5-Prudential plc

The firm services more than 16 million customers worldwide, with over seven million in the UK holding life insurance, critical-illness cover, travel-insurance, home-insurance and car-insurance policies.

6-PING AN

Ping An has operations across all of the People’s Republic of China, and in Hong Kong and Macau through Ping An Insurance Overseas. Ping An has branches or a representative agent in 150 countries.

7-Munich Re Group

This group has around 45,000 employees worldwide, working in all businesses of insurance: life reinsurance, health reinsurance, accident reinsurance, liability business, motor reinsurance, property-casualty business, marine reinsurance, aviation reinsurance and fire reinsurance.

8-ALLIANZ

It has its headquarters in Munich, Germany. It has a product portfolio of marine and accident policies. It operates in more than 70 Countries. The company is ranked 21 in Forbes Global 2000 list, with rank of 87 for World’s most valuable brands for 2015.

9-Assicurazioni Generali

The group, with a presence in more than 60 countries, is an international brand with dominance in Western, Central and Eastern Europe. It offers a really varied pack that covers family health cars and whole lot more.

10-Japan Post Holdings

Japan Post Insurance operates within Japan Post Holding to provide insurance to its clients. The insurance arm makes use of the post offices nationwide network, in addition to its own sales offices, to reach out and provide services to the clients.
